The Clinical Pharmacology Lab studies clinical pharmacology, which aims to maximize the efficacy and safety of drug therapy. Clinical pharmacology is a discipline grounded in the clinical settings where drug therapy is delivered, and the lab conducts its research in collaboration with Osaka University Hospital. In addition to research, students take PharmD course programs, including long-term ward training at Osaka University Hospital and training at the front lines of pharmaceutical regulatory administration. Graduates work in a variety of roles, including drug development at pharmaceutical companies, pharmacists at hospitals and pharmacies, and pharmaceutical regulatory administration.

The Regulatory Science of Medicinal Products and Medical Devices Lab develops innovative drug discovery technologies and conducts research in regulatory science. Focusing on the molecular basis of biological barriers, the lab works on DDS research, such as drug delivery to the brain and transdermal and oral administration technologies, and on developing disease biomarkers. Through education in regulatory literacy and regulatory communication, the lab aims to train human resources for health and medical innovation who are also well versed in regulatory science. The lab strives to let students pursue research themes that interest them, and widely accepts students regardless of university or faculty as long as they have an interest in and motivation for research.

The Cardiovascular Drug Discovery Lab investigates the mechanisms of vascular function and applies them to the development of drugs to treat diseases. Blood vessels are not only passageways that carry oxygen and nutrients through the blood, but also control the movement of substances and cells between the blood and organs by changing their permeability. The lab works on treating inflammatory diseases and infections, delivering drugs to the brain, and restoring fibrotic organs.

The Enzyme Reaction Analysis Lab is listed as a "lab" in the lab introductions of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Osaka University. Its research fields are given as structural and functional analysis of globin proteins and analysis of CYP, a drug-metabolizing enzyme. The lab is led by Associate Professor Hirofumi Tsujino, whose fields of specialization are listed in the researcher directory as pharmaceutical analysis and physical chemistry. Since April 2023, Associate Professor Tsujino has been an Associate Professor at Museum Links, with a concurrent appointment as Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The Muscle Stem Cell Drug Discovery Project studies the regenerative and hypertrophic capacity of skeletal muscle at the molecular level. The lab investigates how muscle satellite cells, the stem cells of skeletal muscle, are maintained and how they function in muscle regeneration and hypertrophy. Aiming for discoveries that lay the foundation for developing treatments for muscle diseases, the lab also has muscular dystrophy, sarcopenia, and cancer cachexia in view. The lab's website is operated under the name of the Field of Regeneration and Adaptation.
