Andre Fujita, Professor
0 student voices
The Network AI Statistical Analysis Joint Research Division is a joint research division of the Medical Institute of Bioregulation. A paper for which Prof. Fujita served as last author covers a method for efficiently examining large networks using graph spectra and a method for statistically examining directed networks. The paper also introduces statGraph, an R package that bundles statistical analyses such as network comparison and clustering. Prof. Fujita is also a coauthor of a paper that examined brain functional connectivity and gene expression data using network concepts.

The Nakatani Higher-Order Life Dynamics Lab is an endowed research division established at the Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Kyushu University. Principal Professor Yasuyuki Ohkawa specializes in epigenetics, genome regulation, chromatin biology, stem cell biology, and trans-omics medicine. Prof. Ohkawa develops and applies genome and epigenome analysis technologies to elucidate the mechanisms of cell fate determination, tissue homeostasis, aging, regeneration, and disease onset. In recent years, Prof. Ohkawa has been advancing research on muscle stem cells, immune cells, and hepatocytes using spatial omics and 3D genome analysis.

Takehito Uruno, Associate Professor

The Research Promotion Unit of the Medical Institute of Bioregulation includes Associate Professor Takehito Uruno, Associate Professor Hiroki Shibata, and Assistant Professor Daisuke Tsuchimoto. The linked website belongs to Associate Professor Hiroki Shibata's genomics field, which focuses on genomic diversity and phenotypes and conducts research mainly using next-generation sequencers. Associate Professor Takehito Uruno studies signal transduction, cytoskeletal regulation, lipid metabolism, and disease control. Assistant Professor Daisuke Tsuchimoto studies the effects of damage to DNA and free nucleotides on mammals, as well as the body's defense mechanisms.
