Machine-translated · View original
A lab that advances respiratory and immunological medicine through clinical practice, research, and the training of future physicians and researchers.

AboutAbout the lab
Taking medicine one step further, built on solid clinical practice and talent development
The Respiratory Medicine and Clinical Immunology Lab provides clinical care in respiratory medicine and clinical immunology, while pursuing research that approaches the essence of disease and education that trains outstanding clinicians and researchers.
The department opened in 1905 as the Department of Pulmonary Tuberculosis (Hairo-ka), which treated tuberculosis, and developed as the Third Department of Internal Medicine. After a reorganization in 2005, it took its present form, comprising respiratory medicine and clinical immunology.
The lab is also affiliated with the Infection Pathogenesis group at the Immunology Frontier Research Center (iFReC) of the University of Osaka, where it also carries out basic research.
