Mikio Hasegawa, Professor
0 student voices
The Hasegawa Lab applies artificial intelligence, quantum computation, and other approaches to wireless communications, conducting research aimed at making Beyond 5G / 6G and IoT systems more efficient and more reliable. It studies methods for using radio efficiently even in environments where many terminals, such as smartphones and IoT devices, communicate at the same time, and in situations where the communication environment changes. Topics range widely from fundamentals to applications, including optimization of wireless resource allocation, transmission timing control, high-density IoT, and wireless communications for robots and cybernetic avatars. The lab also collaborates with other universities, research institutions, and companies, carrying out theoretical studies, simulation, implementation, and experimental evaluation.

Osamu Sakata, Professor
0 student voices
The Sakata Lab conducts research and development on medical devices, assistive devices, agricultural machinery, and food processing machinery, using techniques for measuring, analyzing, and controlling signals and images. Research is divided into a Medical and Welfare Group and an Agriculture and Food Group. Each student is basically assigned one topic and works on it individually. Most topics are pursued with future practical application in mind, and the lab actively engages in joint research with private companies, public research institutions, other universities, and medical institutions. The lab values student independence. Every student is given the task of building into their own research at least one original idea that was not suggested by their academic advisor.
