Mitsuhiko Shionoya, Professor
0 student voices
The Shionoya Lab studies the precise synthesis of supramolecular metal complexes inspired by living organisms, and the exploration of their functions. The research keywords include supramolecular chemistry, coordination chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, and organometallic chemistry. Currently, the lab designs and synthesizes metal ion clusters with a single atom at the center, and investigates how their structures relate to their catalytic reactions and luminescence properties. The lab is located in the Research Institute for Science and Technology, part of the Organization for Research Promotion at Tokyo University of Science.
Masashi Nojima, Lecturer
0 student voices
The Nojima Lab studies materials fabrication using ion beams, as well as measurement techniques for investigating the local stress properties of materials. The lab's introduction states, "Without innovation in fabrication and measurement technology, there is no cutting-edge research." The lab is developing a mass spectrometer based on a new principle, the rotating electric field mass spectrometer, and is working on selecting a target element and forming it into an ion beam. The lab also evaluates the mechanism of initial fracture in carbon fiber composites and the interfacial strength of semiconductor encapsulation packages.
