Fuminori Takahashi, Professor
0 student voices
Takahashi Lab studies, at the level of genes, how plants respond to environmental stresses such as drought and high temperature. In particular, it focuses on long-distance signaling, in which environmental information is shared and integrated between distant organs such as roots and leaves, and it searches for and analyzes the regulatory factors and signaling factors that control this process. Building on these results, the lab is also developing stress-tolerant crops that can grow in harsh environments and help address food and environmental problems.
