光に応答する分子で、新しい材料をつくる。

光機能化学研究室は、光化学、有機化学、高分子化学を駆使した機能性材料の開発と、そのサイエンスを研究しています。
有機化合物や高分子化合物のフレキシブルな特性を生かした、光に応答する材料に注目しています。
マイクロやナノメートルスケールの光反応で分子の構造が変わり、物性が変化する現象を使って、新しい材料をつくることを目指しています。
研究のキーワードには、光反応、フォトクロミズム、表面レリーフ、液晶、自己組織化、キラリティが挙がっています。
