The AI4DB (AI for Databases) lab studies AI for Data Enhancement.
The lab aims to bring out the full potential of new data flows in the era of large models.
The lab works on enhancing spatiotemporal data, enhancing image data, and developing applications that use low-quality data.
Key terms
- Spatiotemporal data
- Data that carries information about time and place, that is, when and where something happened.
- Knowledge graph
- Knowledge data that represents things and their relationships as a network of nodes and links.
- Vector database
- A database that stores data as sequences of numbers (vectors) and can search for similar items.
ResearchResearch themes
The lab focuses on AI for data enhancement, aiming to unlock the potential of new data flows in the era of large models. Its goal is to build more effective and intelligent systems that integrate diverse data sources, such as vector databases, knowledge graphs, and structured documents, and can extract patterns for complex reasoning tasks.
