Kyoko Matsushita, Professor
0 student voices
The Matsushita Lab studies the formation history of celestial objects in the universe using the methods of X-ray astronomy. According to the lab's introduction, most of the matter in the universe can be observed only with X-rays. In the lab, students use knowledge of physics, statistics, and astronomy to learn and practice how to draw conclusions from data.

Taishi Taishi, Associate Professor
0 student voices
The Taishi Lab studies how to elucidate the physical properties of nanomaterials and develop their functions, from the perspectives of thermal and optical property science and energy science. Its main research theme is to clarify the high-temperature optical properties of excitons in low-dimensional nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes. The lab also works on developing energy conversion technologies based on these findings.

Unregistered Unregistered, Associate Professor
0 student voices
The Unregistered Lab theoretically studies particle physics, nuclear physics, and related astrophysics, focusing on hadrons such as the proton. Hadrons are physical systems in which quarks, which are elementary particles, are bound by the strong force, and they make up the matter of our world. The website explains that understanding the four forces, namely the strong force, the electromagnetic force, the weak force, and gravity, reveals how matter is composed, the phenomena of the early universe, and how celestial objects are formed. On the website, the lab is introduced under the name "Hadron Physics Lab," and the description dates from around 2016.
