Naoyuki Aikawa, Professor
0 student voices
The Aikawa Lab studies digital filter design, image processing, EEG analysis, and the development of e-learning systems. The lab designs digital filters required for high-quality communication and high-precision measurement, applying mathematical techniques such as the Fourier transform and projection onto convex sets. In image processing, it works on super-resolution technology, detection of paint defects, and quantification of cancer cells. In EEG, it researches and develops an automatic analysis system that simulates the analysis results of doctors.

Jun Taniguchi, Professor
0 student voices
The Taniguchi Lab researches ultrafine fabrication technology at the nanometer scale. It focuses in particular on technology for making three-dimensional shapes at the nanometer order. The lab studies techniques for making three-dimensional nano-stamps (molds), and nanoimprint, in which the stamp is pressed to transfer its shape. Fabrication uses electron beam and ion beam technology, and the resulting molds are replicated into resin and other materials.
