0 student voices
The Kai Lab takes control engineering as its main theme and conducts a wide range of research, from fundamental theory to applications in many fields. Control is the technology of operating all kinds of things in the world at will. Control technology is used in everything related to our daily lives, including air conditioners, airplanes, high-rise buildings, and hard disk drives. The lab also works on environmental and energy issues and on robot technology for humans, aiming to contribute to society through control engineering.

Akihiko Kikuchi, Professor
0 student voices
The Kikuchi Lab studies the design of functional polymer materials, biomaterials, and drug delivery systems, all based on polymer materials. Biomaterials are medical materials used in contact with the living body, as typified by artificial organs. By controlling the interactions between materials and biological components, the lab aims to develop new biomaterials that can separate and analyze target biological components and perform diagnosis and treatment.
