The Data-Driven Science Hypothesis Generation Unit is a research unit of the Science Collaboration and Exploration Center (SACRA), affiliated with the Graduate School of Science. Researchers in mathematics, physics, geology, and other fields come together to explore new scientific principles for the age of data science and extend them to various fields. Using data analysis and machine learning, the unit pursues new research that builds governing equations and performs causal inference from large amounts of data, aiming to systematize the process of generating hypotheses from data. At the graduate level, it carries out research and education as the Interdisciplinary Fusion Course of the Graduate School of Science.

The Unexplored Quantum Metrology Unit is a research unit of the Science Collaboration and Exploration Center (SACRA), which is attached to the Graduate School of Science. It brings together experts from fields related to quantum technology and measurement to develop and apply "advanced quantum-wave measurement." Alongside developing photon sources and detectors for frequency ranges that remain unexplored, the unit is advancing research and development on new algorithms for physical measurement, biological imaging, and spectroscopic measurement, as well as on large-scale data analysis using machine learning. At the graduate level, research and education are carried out as the Interdisciplinary Fusion Course of the Graduate School of Science.

The Earth-Life Co-evolution Research Unit is a research unit of the Science Collaboration and Exploration Center (SACRA), which is attached to the Graduate School of Science. It aims to create a new interdisciplinary field that treats the global environment and life as one integrated system. Experts in life sciences, earth sciences, and data science come together to explore the relationship between biological and geological phenomena across various scales of time and space. They aim to elucidate the interaction between biological evolution and environmental change. At the graduate level, research and education are carried out as the Interdisciplinary Fusion Course of the Graduate School of Science.
