A lab that uses technology to explore a more flexible and open future of education.

The Educational Innovation lab (Iiyoshi Lab) conducts research and development that responds to the educational needs of society and individuals, by developing and disseminating more flexible and open education systems that make use of advanced technology and media. Over the past 30 years or so, technology has made it possible to learn "anything," "anytime," and "anywhere," and the landscape of higher education has changed dramatically. The lab explores the future of education and society that can be realized through open, online, and hybrid education, AI, gamification, XR and VR, as well as more effective and meaningful ways of learning and teaching.
