The Biological Control Research Facility conducts research and education on "biological control," which uses natural enemies to control pests. Natural enemies are insects and microorganisms that use pests as prey or as hosts, and through them pests are kept in check without chemical pesticides. The facility also studies integrated pest management (IPM), which combines the use of microbial natural enemies, parasitoid insects, and predatory small animals with other control measures. The facility consists of the Division of Microbial Natural Enemies and the Division of Natural Enemy Propagation, and its website describes it as the only institution in Asia that conducts specialized research and education in biological control.

The Genetic Resources Development Research Center is an affiliated education and research facility of the Faculty of Agriculture at Kyushu University that searches for, preserves, and develops uses for useful genetic resources. Its subjects are the silkworm, plants centered on rice, and industrially important fermentation microorganisms, areas in which Kyushu University's School of Agriculture has pursued research with globally distinctive features. It consists of the silkworm, plant, and microbial gene development fields, and also takes part in education and research as a field of the Division of Bioscience and Biotechnology. To students and researchers from inside and outside the School of Agriculture who have obtained the required permission, it provides research facilities and genetic resources, and it also offers research supervision and education.

The Insect Science and New Industry Creation Research Center integrates insect science at Kyushu University and conducts research on the loss of biodiversity and the spread of insect-borne infectious diseases. The center has units for insect taxonomy, environmental and medical entomology, and new industry creation, and works with insect specimens, mosquitoes, ticks, silkworms, and more. In addition to the Faculty of Agriculture, faculty members from various other departments, such as the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Engineering, take part.

The Aqua-Bioresource Innovation Center (ABRIC) conducts research to create a new fish aquaculture industry. With the keywords "full-cycle aquaculture," "genomic breeding," "new feeds," and "low environmental impact," the center aims to overcome these challenges using the innovative research resources of Kyushu University. Its goal is to build an aquaculture industry that covers everything from basic research and technology development to social implementation and distribution, and to contribute to promoting aquaculture in the region and in Japan and to the security of protein supply. Faculty members from the Faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, and Economics, among others, take part, and the ABRIC Karatsu Satellite in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, serves as the main research facility.

The University Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture uses extensive experimental fields to conduct research on crops, horticulture, and livestock. It takes up problems from agricultural practice and works on basic and applied themes that contribute to the development of environmentally friendly agriculture. In addition to the farm on Ito Campus, research involving cattle is also carried out at the Highland Agriculture Experiment and Training Station in Oita Prefecture. The farm is also a place for undergraduate practical training and for university-wide general education courses, and it recruits students who want to conduct research activities at the farm.

The Experimental Forests attached to the Faculty of Agriculture are facilities that carry out a wide range of research and education in three forests located in Fukuoka, Miyazaki, and Hokkaido. The Hokkaido Forest is described as a northern hilly forest, the Fukuoka Forest as a peri-urban forest, and the Miyazaki Forest as a remote mountain forest. The faculty members of the Experimental Forests provide graduate education in the Forest Environmental Science Education Course of the Department of Agro-environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences. There are two labs, the Forest Production Control Lab and the Watershed Environment Control Lab. Graduate students are based at the Fukuoka Forest and also stay at the Miyazaki and Hokkaido forests for long or short periods to conduct research.

The Experimental Organism Environment Control Center is a shared on-campus education and research facility that provides laboratories with artificially controlled conditions, such as temperature and light, to researchers and students within the university. In the plant laboratories, temperature, moisture, light, wind, and gas composition can be artificially controlled. There are also laboratories for insects and for fishes, amphibians, and reptiles. The full-time faculty specialize in phytotronics, which is based on bio-environment control technology, and teach advanced plant production systems such as plant factories in the graduate school. The center does not belong to an undergraduate faculty, and it accepts students from the master's program.

The Plant Frontier Research Center is a university-wide shared-use facility established as a base for comprehensive research, development, and demonstration in plant science, with the aim of contributing to solving food and environmental problems. The center conducts comprehensive research and applied development on useful plants, especially rice, a cereal crop, covering basic research, breeding, control of cultivation environments, distribution economics, and international expansion. The center is divided into the following divisions: Bioresource Management and Development, Fundamental Plant Research, Plant Molecular Design, Environmental Measurement and Control, Agribusiness, and Frontier. The information on the center's website dates from around 2020.
