Kenta Goto, Assistant Professor
0 student voices
Assistant Professor Kenta Goto specializes in the science of material properties, colloid science, and physical organic chemistry. He studies the boundary between the microscopic world, where molecules are in lively motion, and the macroscopic world, where matter functions as "things." In recent years, the lab has been publishing results on multiple, multiphase emulsions that behave like living things, and on molecules that convert light energy directly into motive power. At the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation, Assistant Professor Goto serves as a specially participating faculty member and teaches the special lecture "Chemistry and Human Society A." His home affiliation is the Institute for Materials Chemistry and Engineering, and he also holds a concurrent faculty position in the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science.

Assistant Professor Boxuan Ma's research areas are educational data mining, learning analytics, human-computer interaction, and recommender systems. The lab's research themes include systems that help learning and mechanisms that read learners' states in order to support them. At the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation, Assistant Professor Ma teaches the courses "Real Data Analysis Techniques 1" and "Real Data Analysis Techniques 2." Assistant Professor Ma belongs to the Faculty of Arts and Science at Kyushu University and holds a concurrent appointment at the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation.
