The Advanced Magnetic Sensing Lab develops a variety of advanced sensing systems that use electromagnetism. In medicine and biology, the lab develops immunoassay devices that use magnetic markers, and magnetic nano-bioimaging methods that use magnetic tracers injected into the body. In materials evaluation, the lab develops nondestructive testing devices that detect defects and deterioration inside materials. The lab's website is shared with the Yoshida Lab and the Sasayama Lab.
